A real coach edition
Written for a coaching staff before a real match on October 3, 2026, exactly as they received it. We've blurred the team and player names.
Ddndnd Nn. is the 80% favorite and wins by siding out (68.3%, 1st in D2) and keeping its own service errors down. Odndn Rdndnd Hn. hits .314 in SDATH play (2nd of 11), so serve at #3 Mdnd Tndn and #10 Cdndn Edndnd, slow #6 Udndn Adndndn in the middle, and make #17 Ddndnd Nnd earn her kills.

Expect #14 Udnd Dndndndn to get more swings (about .598 with Sdndn, 17 kills and 2 errors), while #3 Mdnd Tndn has struggled in that combination (about .08). Move the block toward Ldndndnd and keep serving at Rdnd. The samples are small, so treat this as a lean, not a rule.

Her season includes 53 errors and 13 blocks. Shift the sets to Ndn, Sdndn and the middles, and have Tdndnd use the block rather than swing through it. She is 8–0 late in sets, so keep her in the late plan.

Where each hitter goes, her most effective shot, how often she tips or rolls, and what she does out of system. For your hitters and theirs, turned into where to put the block and the defense.
Pass rating (0–3) by passer, perfect-pass and aced rates, and which passers the opponent should be expected to serve.
Your actual sideout against what your passes should produce, and first-ball sideout, so you know whether the problem is the pass or the swing.
Sideout and point-scoring in each rotation: the one to fix, and the one to start in.
How often your serve puts the other team out of system, not only aces and errors.
Where the setter goes off good and poor passes, each server's favorite targets, and efficiency on every set call.
Played them before, or have their files from an exchange? Upload those too: they go into every report on that team, never shared.

How it's made
- Every report is generated from a scouting pack: every rally, box score and play-by-play line NCAA has for both teams this season.
- Every number, rank and jersey in it is fact-checked against that data before it goes out.
- With Team Pro, your own DataVolley files add passing, rotations and set calls from your charting.
- We don't watch film, so it doesn't judge shot direction; it complements video, it doesn't replace it. Each report says what the data doesn't cover.
Questions
How is this different from video services?
Video tells you what happened; this does the counting for you. It turns every logged rally into a ready-to-use scouting report and numbers your staff would otherwise build by hand.
Do players or families see the coach edition?
No. Only the accounts on your staff list. Families who buy their own get a separate player-friendly edition.
What files can we upload?
DataVolley match files (.dvw), which is also what VolleyMetrics exports. One file per match, up to 4 MB each. Balltime exports are coming; if that's what you use, email support@d2vbstats.com and we'll get you set up.
Who sees our files?
Only your staff list. Your files feed your own reports and advanced stats; they're never shown to families, other teams, or anyone else, and you can remove any file from your account page.
When does it start?
Right away: if you have a match in the next three days, the first coach edition is written within minutes of purchase.
